Usher finds it funny when his young sons try to "manipulate the situation".
The R&B star has two sons from his marriage to Tameka Foster; Usher V and Naviyd Ely. Usher loves playing around with his young family, although he does have to lay down the law at times.
"I took them to my mother's house; she lives about two minutes away from me. Naviyd is addicted to peppermint, but he had already had dinner and dessert. So I told him he couldn't have any candy, and he walked off.
"A couple of minutes later, when he thought I couldn't hear, he was asking my mother if he could open a peppermint candy. He was trying to manipulate the situation," Usher told People, before adding he had a "good laugh" at his young son's crafty behaviour.
The star wants to pass on his life experiences to his sons.
"Every time I open my mouth, I try to give as much advice as possible," he explained. "If my children are unclear of something, I take the time to explain it to them."
The singer is currently embroiled in a bitter custody battle with his ex-wife Tameka, who recently claimed he cheated on her with a woman who had been a bridesmaid at their wedding.
