Supergroup Velvet Revolver, whose debut album hits stores next month, has added more stops to a North American tour that just kicked off.
Velvet Revolver features ex-Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland; former Guns N' Roses members Slash (guitar), Duff McKagen (bass) and Matt Sorum (drums); and former Suicidal Tendencies member David Kushner (guitar).
"Contraband," the group's debut album, is due in stores on June 8. The set features the single "Slither," which is in the Top 5 on the mainstream, modern and active rock charts, according to the group's publicist. The song's music video is streaming at the band's website.
In addition to "Slither," "Contraband" also houses the cut "Set Me Free," which first turned up on last summer's "Hulk" soundtrack.
The band will mark the album's release with a two-night stand at Los Angeles' Wiltern Theatre on June 8 and 9. Tickets for those shows sold out in two minutes.
