Whitney Houston is reportedly hoping Clive Davis will help make her daughter a star.
The American singer has 18-year-old Bobbi Kristina – known as Krissi - with ex-husband Bobby Brown.
Whitney has fought addiction in the past and is said to worry she hasn't always been there for her daughter. Krissi is a talented singer, so Whitney is hoping to make things up to her by helping her land a record deal.
The star has a close relationship with music mogul Clive Davis, who has always encouraged her career. She thinks he could be the key to launching Krissi in the industry.
"Whitney feels incredibly guilty over all the mistakes she's made and for setting a bad example for Krissi," a source told National Enquirer.
"Whitney… had Krissi record a few tracks in the studio and Clive seemed impressed. She helps Clive will help make her a star."
Krissi is said to be thrilled with her mother's plan.
The teenager recently posted footage of her covering an Adele track online as she was so keen to show people how good her voice is.
"Whitney really hopes that Clive will offer Krissi a contract, says the insider, and 'have an album out sometime next year,'" reports the publication.
