Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose aren't afraid to show their love for each other. The Taylors and Rosebuds who follow the couple on Twitter are all too familiar with their public displays of affection and quirky pet names like "monkey butt." So is there ever a time that the lovebirds aren't quite so lovely?
"We have small arguments; they last like 20 minutes because we can't stay mad at each other," Wiz revealed to MTV News on Tuesday while he was doing a press run at SiriusXM Radio.
"People go through ups and downs and I had a couple of arguments with her, during the time I was making the album," he said.
On his latest LP O.N.I.F.C.,which he dropped yesterday, Khalifa has no problem opening up about his relationship with his fiancée and soon-to-be mother of his first son. First there is "Got Everything," the 1990s R&B-inspired joint where Wiz praises his hunny for providing him with the stability in his plane-hopping lifestyle. " 'Cause even when we're both tired you still put up with me/ Ain't goin' nowhere for sure, feel like you're stuck with me," he raps.
On "Up In It," the Pixburgh MC gets more intimate, painting an intense love-making scene. The preceding album skit presents a real-life voicemail message that Rose left him after a late-night show. "I just wanted to leave you a little message to let you know how much I love you and I miss you," she whispers into the jack. "I'm so proud of you. I'm so happy that you're doing so well out there."
Wiz Khalifa Discusses The Stigma Around O.N.I.F.C.
Wiz is no stranger to making songs catered to the ladies, but these days, they just take on more meaning. "It's fun for me to write these records now because I'm puttin' together everything that I go through with my wife and being able to inspire people to the point where it's like a story or a book," he said. "We're in love, we love each other. We're happy, and just those good feelings."
