Yoko Ono is revisiting a song from the "Double Fantasy" album to reflect her support of gay rights.
Ono has re-recorded the song "Every Man Has A Woman Who Loves Him" as two different dance versions: "Every Man Has A Man Who Loves Him" and "Every Woman Has A Woman Who Loves Him."
Ono says one of her gay friends told her his mother invoked the line of the original, "Every Man Has A Woman Who Loves Him," in an attempt to steer him towards heterosexuality.
Ono says she thinks she connects with the gay audience because she's an outsider and they tune into that. A spokesman for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center in New York says of Ono's songs, "If it were Britney Spears doing this would it have a larger connection? Sure. Does it have some value? Yes."document.write(unescape("
