You Me At Six have rocked Reading and Leeds this weekend with huge slots on the main stage, just one band separating them from the headliner. But this didn't happen overnight, they learned a lot of their hard=rock mastery from touring with the likes of Paramore and Thirty Seconds To Mars.
When asked about if they'd love to headline in future, frontman Josh Francesci replied: "We're close, we're one spot away from it - next time, who knows? Hopefully they'll give us second from top."
Speaking of arena experience for their forthcoming UK tour with All Time Low, he said: "We did a Thirty Seconds To Mars tour last year, and before we did that, we had a bit of a taste for arenas," he said. "We went straight from there to a Paramore arena tour, straight into massive headline shows in England."
He continued: "I learned a lot in terms of production from Thirty Seconds To Mars, they put on a great show, as do Paramore. I personally think that Paramore are one of the best live bands there are, purely because they have a singer in Hayley Williams who very rarely has a bad day in the office. I'd almost say that in all my time I've known her, and I've know her since both of our bands basically started, I can't remember a time where I've been like 'ooh, she didn't hit that note' - that never happens. The band in terms of musicianship, are brilliant."
Josh added: "We learned a lot from both bands. They're setting the bar, and we've got to keep going and going and going because we're not there yet."
