Young Jeezy doesn't only have a new single to promote, but he also has a few things to get off his chest. On Friday (October 12), a day after the Snowman dropped his new single "Get Right," the Atlanta rapper rolled up to Power 106's Big Boy's Neighborhood in Los Angeles to speak on his on-going feuds with Rick Ross and Gucci Mane.
"Me and him had never really seen each other face-to-face, for real, for real," Young Jeezy began to explain about his run-in with rival rapper Rick Ross at the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards. "I just felt like, he spoke, I spoke and that was basically it. But at the end of the day, it's been going on for a while, so I just felt like if it was going to be handled, it should be handled there."
It has been reported that the two star MCs got into a shoving match backstage, but Jeezy maintains that he was never touched.
"I assure you, I can't speak for everybody, but ain't nobody put no hands on me," he said with conviction. "I can't say that for everybody involved, but ain't nobody touch me."
Jeezy says he hasn't heard Ross' "Gone to the Moon," the track from his recently released The Black Bar Mitzvah mixtape where he references the BET drama, but he insists that he will not engage the Maybach Music boss in a rap battle.
"I'm not into dissin.' Let's be clear, I'm into gettin' my money and whatever wasn't said or done right there, I have no interest in it," Jeezy told the Neighborhood's co-host Rikki Martinez after she asked about the dis. "If he wants to put out 30 tracks, tell him go waste his time like that, get me hot. I got an album coming."
When it came to Gucci Mane, Young was even more dismissive. "Everybody knows that boy retarded, ain't nobody taking him seriously," Jeezy said in response to a New York radio interview where Gucci referred to him as a "sucka."
The way Jeezy sees it, Gucci is just upset that the Snowman has yet to collaborate with him after DJ Drama tried to broker peace between them in 2009. "He called a few times. I just told him it wasn't a good idea, we past that. I don't want to go backwards," he said. "He reached out a few times. I didn't do the records, so I guess he feel a way. I guess he didn't take his medicine that day. Short Bus Shawty."
