The Young Knives told Xfm all about their desires to collaborate with a Mr Mark Ronson, Bright Eyes and The Divine Comedy.
Tweed clad geek rockers hit up the Astoria last Tuesday (February 28) to preview their forthcoming album 'Superabundance' and revealed that they would like to work with Ronson.
The night saw The Young Knives collaborate with the string section of Outside Royalty - a definite highlight of the show - and when asked if there was anyone else they would like to work with, vocalist Henry Dartnall told Xfm:
"I'd like to do one of those Mark Ronson ones when he gets everyone on stage to sing somebody else's song and show off my beautiful voice and talent. Do you think he'd have me?"
The brothers elaborated on various collaborative ideas including karaeoke versions of Bright Eyes with a Ronson orchestra or forming a partnership with The Divine Comedy:
"I'd like to do the one with the guy out of the Divine Comedy. He could do crooner versions of our songs and he's only wee so he'd make us look tall."
To which Thomas responded: "But then he'd make you look massively fat, like Shrek."
Brotherly love for you! Watch this space to see if their desires turn into blossoming collaborations. In the words of Henry, "Come on Ronse!"
The Young Knives new album 'Superabundance' - featuring tracks 'Up All Night' and 'Terra Firma' - is due for release on March 10.
