The High School Musical friends were reunited for Tisdale's 26th birthday at the weekend - and the pair frolicked on the beach before actor Zac, 23, let Ashley climb onto his back for a ride as they headed into a pal's house nearby.
And the birthday girl was delighted to have Efron around, along with her boyfriend, Scott Speer.
She later tweeted: 'So happy Zacary made it to my party!!! He's my brother/best friend!!!
'Had such a great birthday party yesterday! I'm so lucky to have such amazing friends, family, and man in my life!'
