Singer Zayn Malik has disappointed his British fans for the second time in less than a week by cancelling another media appearance just 45 minutes before he was due on air.
The former One Direction star is currently promoting his debut solo single, Pillowtalk, but on Monday (01Feb16) he pulled out of a scheduled appearance on BBC Radio One's Greg James Show at the very last minute.
With fans lining the street outside the station's London studios, they received the devastating news the 23-year-old would not be attending after all.
The news comes just days after the singer cancelled an appearance on British chat show the Graham Norton Show last Thursday, (28Jan16) with his representative citing "scheduling issues".
Zayn had been due to join Hollywood A-listers Will Smith and Ryan Reynolds for his first TV interview since leaving the boy band in March last year (15), but his rep explained: "Zayn is currently in the studio completing his album."
While Zayn has yet to give a reason for his latest cancellation, he did retweet a couple of messages from fans on Twitter while Greg's show was still on air.
The lack of broadcasting interviews doesn't seem to have done his debut single any harm though, as Pillowtalk is set to score Zayn his first U.K. solo number this weekend (6-7Feb16), having already shifted 23,000 downloads more than his nearest rival.
The singer did phone in to Ryan Seacrest's Los Angeles radio show on Friday (29Jan16) and chatted about his new music.
He also confirmed reports he would be headlining the KIIS FM Wango Tango pop festival in California in May (16).
