Zayn Malik's fiancée is reportedly upset he's so "flippant" about their wedding.
The One Direction star asked Perrie Edwards, who sings with British band Little Mix, to marry him in August last year. For a while speculation about their nuptials was rife, before things died down and wedding planning seemed to fade into the background, with the boys busy on their Where We Are Tour.
In a recent interview, Zayn admitted he hadn't thought much about when they would tie the knot, shrugging that he and Perrie are "just kind of engaged".
"Perrie was upset when she watched Zayn's interview, as he was being so flippant about their relationship. It was like he didn't care at all," an insider admitted to British magazine Star.
Previous rumours suggested Zayn, 21, and his fiancée, also 21, would walk down the aisle in 2015. However, things seem a little uncertain now and the One Direction star and his bandmates Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson will be touring again from February next year, when their On the Road Again shows kick off in Australia.
"Zayn originally thought that getting engaged was the natural next step in their relationship, but he's found the pressure to get married overwhelming," the source continued.
"They rarely get to see each other and Zayn's bandmates are wondering if he's getting cold feet."
When asked most recently about when they will wed, Perrie admitted: "I get asked this question all the time but I just haven't started planning anything yet unfortunately.
"I'll get there eventually but just haven't got time at the moment and I want to do it properly."
