What started yesterday with a suspended tour has now turned into a full cancellation.
ZZ Top has announced that their current tour with Jeff Beck has now been cancelled after bassist Dusty Hill fell on his hip on the band's tour bus and required immediate medical treatment. No details have been released on the extent of the injury.
The ZZ Top/Jeff Beck tour started on October 8 and was scheduled to run through September 12. Beck will play the dates Friday in Salamanca, NY, Saturday in Atlantic City and Sunday at Foxwoods in Connecticut. Ticket holders for the rest of the tour can get a refund or hold on to the tickets for possible rescheduled dates.
Beck released a statement, saying "While we are very disappointed to not continue this tour with ZZ Top, our thoughts and best wishes are for Dusty to have a speedy recovery."
At this point, ZZ Top will return to touring on September 25 in Bloomsburg, PA.
