Nexther List

Nexther List is a singer,composer and Rock's musician with danish and catalan roots who lives moving among Catalonia and Ireland. In 2000 he signs a deal with his band Nexus 9 with the spanish label GDA MUSIC. In a few months they became in a band with certain fame between the indie audience. Their first album "Nowhere on the edge of the world" it was compared for some deejays and speakers of the spanish radio stations with the album Pablo Honey from Radiohead. In some publications they call them the Rialto from Spain, for the similar sound with this band and the similar troubles that they had with their label too. Problems that put an end finally to a separation with their label. The bass and the drummer they left the band and after this, Nexther and the solo guitar they decided not to carry on playing together. It was in that moment when he began to play alone. He traveled for several places,living and visiting family and old friends in Denmark and Ireland and playing covers alone with his guitar in pubs. He was moving too around UK, Poland and Italy playing and learning more. After more than four years walking the route he came back to Catalonia and decides to alternate living part of the year in Dublin and part in Barcelona meanwhile he's thinking about to work in new tunes. It was then when he found an old friend; a catalan producer which one began to work in some songs. Among these, it was arising the album "Worlds in unsteady harmony". His first official solo album. His music it's influenced by sounds coming from the jazz-rock as Jeff Beck or Stanley Clarke until blues-folk melodies as Jeff Buckley or Damien Rice's tunes. Sailing between raw guitars as Radiohead, Wilco or Sterophonics's sound and clean voices at the style of bands just like A-ha, Bryan Ferry or U2, he finally performs an epic and nostalgic sound riding more in harmony with Scandinavian bands just as Saybia for example. His curious success in the independent music's worlds it was coming for blame of an american university student who was a popular DJ. He was playing the Nexther's song "Unlucky" on his own show again and again for some weeks until just another university stations they began playing too the same song for an strange empathy. Some international artists they have a mention for him and in spite of he is living usually in Catalonia it's not strange to see him playing in Dublin or London's pubs a lot of times where he plays covers and his own songs at the typical american style. In 2009 February he edit worldwide his new album Worlds in unsteady harmony which shows some new songs clearly influenced for a deep, emotive, and spiritual melodies.
