October Tide

October Tide is a melodic death/doom metal band which was formed in Sweden by Jonas Renkse and Fredrik Norrman of swedish doom metal band Katatonia. They released only two albums between 1997 and 1999 (originally under Avantgarde, now released under Peaceville) prior to Katatonia's evolution to Last Fair Deal Gone Down (2001). Rain Without End album was recorded in '95, though it wasn't released until '97. They disbanded because their "inspiration ran dry" and Renkse & Norrman decided to fully concentrate on Katatonia instead.
