Petri Nygård

Petri Nygård is a finnish rap-artist who was one of the first artists to have really made it online before any "real" release. Petri Nygård was raised in USA, Finland, and Sweden. His first EP "Pillumagneetti" was released in the spring of 2000 as a free download. After over 30 000 downloads in one month his record company Open Records formed an alliance with Poko Rekords to release Petri's music officially. "Vitun suomirokki" single sold over 17 000. The second single "Kanava nolla" sold over 9 000 and his debut album "Mun levy!" went on to sell gold in Finland. Mun Levy was followed by two more albums that never reached the same sales but Petri still has a loyal following in Finland .Then in 2003 he moved to chigago and he start to make music in english. But no one knew who Petri Nygård really was. He never showed he's face. Untill he told in a magazines interwiev that he's real name in Petri Laurila. Petri Nygård's new album will be released in 2009 with three big singles and fan T-shirts .
