Psychotic Waltz Biography
Psychotic Waltz was a progressive-hippie (!) metal band formed in 1986, California. They first named the band after a character from “The lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” novel, by C.S.Lewis. They released in the same year a demo tape, eponimously with their band name, Aslan. The band changed the name in Psychotic Waltz in 1988, releasing a new four-song demo. The beginning of the nineties saw the birth of their first album, A Social Grace, being very well received in Europe. Two years later, Into the Everflow was born. At that time, the band was at the peak of their career. But the controversial following album, Mosquito, made the hardcore fans of the band to label it as a sell-out one, because of the more conventional songwriting. In 1996, they released their last studio work together, Bleeding. Psychotic Waltz disbanded in 1997, due to musical differences of band members.
