Rahsaan has a rich history that has given birth to the establishment of his professional career as a recording and performing artist. The journey from [placeformed]Georgetown, Guyana[placeformed] to Flatbush Brooklyn and now Miami has enriched not only his music, but has also engaged his craft in the fashion world. The former Mecca 5Star Apparel technical designer who once designed clothing featured in AD campaigns, worn on national TV shows and sold across the east coast, is now a product of his own design with Georgetown, Rahsaan’s debut LP on SoFlo Entertainment. Georgetown explores his true-to-life story through vivid rhymes and narrated by The Source Magazine’s former Editor-In-Cheif, Selwyn Seyfu Hinds. The development of this album started way before his show dates with Raekwon and Ghostface on the Rock the Bells tour, and even beyond his internship in Def Jam’s A&R department, where he was exposed to a multitude of attributes in the business. Rahsaan takes his inspiration from first-hand history and experiences to excel at the art of expression over a beat. While this album is not based a superficial idealism, not every track is based on deep retrospection either. From party-anthem kick drums to slow-pimpin’ rhythm and blues, the forthcoming album is ripe with melodies. To describe Rahsaan’s flow you have to step outside of the box, creating a new interpretation rhyme. On some tracks Rahsaan glides along the beat softly spitting lyrics, while on others he jabs his rhyme into the song with ferocity and clarity.
