Ralfe Band Biography
Ralfe Band are known for infectious folk influenced songs, vivid surrealist lyrics and classical and gypsy inspired instrumentals. The debut album Swords was released in UK in 2005 by Skint Records and across Europe in 2007 by Talitres records, with bonus tracks. The follow up Attic Thieves was released in October 2008 by Loose/Talitres Records. They have toured across Europe as well as at festivals as far flung as Istanbul and Ireland. The video for single 'Women of Japan' won best music video at South By Southwest film festival in 2006 and was based on drawings made by frontman Oly Ralfe who also creates artwork imagery used for album and single releases. Ralfe Band have completed the soundtrack for feature film 'Bunny and The Bull', directed by Paul King and produced by Warp Films/Film 4 . The film premieres at Toronto Film Festival and is released in the UK in late 2009.
