Red Lipstick Letter Biography
It's not often that something so right happens so fast. Seemingly formed overnight, Red Lipstick Letter burst out of the panhandle of Florida and onto the online music scene in late November of 2004, quickly gaining a large, dedicated fan base from all over (and out of) the country. Between continuous support of their single, "Stay With Me," and the band's devotion to their fans, they have made quite a name for themselves in such a short amount of time. During the first half of 2006, many transformations took place in the band including 3 member changes. Now, Red Lipstick Letter has a new line-up consisting of Austin McDonald (Vocals), Brian Benauer (Guitar/Vocals), Seth Cromer (Guitar), Jimmy Seward (Bass), and Justin DeRose (Drums). The band adopted the DIY system, by creating a merch line, booking tours, making recording plans, and tirelessly promoting in any way possible all by themselves. The hard work was not in vain, Thriving Records took notice and in January of 2006, the band was signed to their first label, anxiously awaiting arrival of their debut album. In Febuary, "Here's Your Photograph" was released and quickly gained success, selling out in regional Hot Topic's and climbing the charts in CD sales on Smartpunk.com. After coming home from a two-month east coast spring tour and an appearance at this year's Warped Tour, Red Lipstick Letter is staying busy by taking time to prepare for a new album and playing local venues. The band is very excited about writing new material and getting back on the road and touring, so we encourage everyone to be on the lookout for what is to come in the future. We will keep you updated! A band is nothing without their fans, and we know that and sincerely thank you for your support! myspace.com/redlipstickletter
