Roxanne Leigh Biography
South African born (October 13) singer- songwriter Roxanne Leigh packed her bags at the tender age of 18 and headed for British soil. She wrote and performed her first song at the age of nine, but it was only when she found herself in the UK in 2001 that she had the chance to focus on her dream. Working two jobs Roxanne was able to pull together the money she needed to record four songs. The first four are important as allot of them are from her childhood and she felt it important to give those songs a voice before she moved on to her more recent songs. 'Time', the oldest of her songs was written when she was just 14 years old. 'Emergency' was written when she was 16, 'Don't you get Tired?' she wrote at 21, and 'Come Back to My Life' was the most recent, having written it at 23. The songs give an insight into her life as it was then and it is interesting to see how she has grown both musically and as a person.
