Rupee

Rupert Clarke (born September 10, 1975), best known by his stage name Rupee, is a soca musician from Barbados. He was born in military barracks in Germany to a German mother and a Barbadian father, who was serving in the British armed forces at the time. He is signed to Atlantic Records. rupee wrote a beautiful balade in the memory of his mother, who passed away after contracting H.I.V. virus from his father, who appearantly didn't like to stay home that much. during rupee's performance at s.o.b. (sounds of brazil) in n.y.c. on september 2005, he shared his intimate story with his fans, who were also asked by him to practice safe sex.
