GMA Records introduces a light, breezy and playful kind of music with the company's newest seven-member band called SIPOL that is ready to provide the public with one fresh musical experience. With their debut album entitled "Unplug and Play", SIPOL delivers a sure fire light and easy hit songs that will soon dominate the airwaves. Released last May, the album contains ten original unembellished tracks including "It's Only a Game" and their carrier single "Give Me One More Chance", which are currently playing on the radio. And because of Sipol's gentle sound, these songs have become top favorites of many radio listeners nowadays. The simple yet cool and breezing form of music of Sipol is set to make you fall in love with their songs "Paano Nga Ba?" "Kailanman" and "Sweetheart, Tweelums". The band can also make you groove to their upbeat tracks such as "Higher Than High" and "Hold On". Sipol's slow jam originals such as "Took You For Granted", "Say It Isn't So" and "Hindi Diyos Nagbabago" are also worth listening to. What sets Sipol apart from other acoustic group is their use of wind instruments such as saxophone, flute and a Japanese instrument called Shakuhachi in their album. These and other instruments create a distinctive SIPOL sound. Sipol is composed of young, professional musicians who are all armed with rich music experiences yet they may be considered as veterans in both live and recorded music. All of them emerged from various local bands such as Neocolours, Artstart and Second Wind whose songs made a mark in the music industry. The members of SIPOL are Marvin Querido (keyboards/musical direction), Soc Mina (bass), Mike Guevarra (winds), Junjun Regalado (percussion and drums), Ardie De Guzman (guitars), Toto Sorioso (guitars/vocals) and Adjeng Sarmiento (vocals), the only female member of the band. Still a neophyte as a group, Sipol members disclosed they were organized last May 2003. They were recording their songs in a studio to offer their creations to various music companies when GMA Records' Kedy Sanchez discovered them. Sipol expressed optimism that their music would be well appreciated by the public since they have poured out their heart and soul to complete their album. They also express their gratitude to GMA Records for the opportunity to share their music and to Hard Rock Cafe for being the venue of their album launch. Sipol's "Unplug and Play" under GMA Records, which was completed in three months, is now available in leading record stores nationwide and online via Titik Pilipino. The album is anticipated to make Sipol as one of the most promising bands of today.
