Solid State Logic

Formed in San Francisco in 2004, Solid State Logic has quickly developed an original, heavy alternative rock sound that has the hook to set new standards in the post nu-metal scene. As music trends come and go in the alternative rock genre, SSL quickly formulated a sound that both captures the raw sound of bands like Alice In Chains along with the modern-edged sound of today. SSL worked hard to get in the hands of reknowned producer Sylvia Massy Shivy (Tool, System of a Down, Powerman 5000), receiving her interest for a no-ties production deal in March, 2004 to take their music to the next level. Due to its commercial appeal, the song 'Its Not Over' quickly got the band attention and radio play. They quickly began writing new songs and performing all over the west coast. Their high engery live performances and enthusiastic crowds caught the attention of acclaimed young music video directors Stuart Ortiz and Colin Minnihan of Digital Interference. Following their offer SSL shot a music video for the song 'It's Not Over'. Impressed by their progress, Sylvia Massy Shivy finally signed the band to her new label National Recorder Records in 2005. The debut album from Solid State Logic 'Disarray' was released in March, 2006. It has since been reissued for distribution in Russia, and other European territories. After National Recorder Records was shut down in 2007. SSL began work on the Affliction EP which featured 6 all new songs. The EP was recorded at Jay Baumgardner' NRG studios and The Brewery studios in Seattle, WA. It was released in 2009. Solid State Logic is currently writing new music for an independent release. The first of these new tracks saw the band returning to Sylvia Massy's Radiostar Studios to record. It is due for release in early 2010.
