Sounds Orchestral Biography
Sounds Orchestral was an English studio easy listening group assembled by John Schroeder. Schroeder was a producer at Pye Records; Sounds Orchestral was intended to be a competitor group to EMI's successful Sounds Incorporated. John Pearson (piano), Kenny Clare (drums), and Tony Reeves (bassist, later played with Curved Air) filled out the group, and their cover of Vince Guaraldi's tune "Cast Your Fate to the Wind" hit #1 on the US Adult Contemporary chart and #10 on the Billboard Top 40 in 1965.[1] The group released several albums and continued to exist in one form or another into the 1980s
