Straight Lines Biography
Straight lines are a Punk Rock/Power Pop band from Pontypridd, South Wales, UK. They consist of Thomas Jenkins (vocals, guitar), James Pugh (Vocals, guitar), and brothers Todd Campbell (bass) and Dane Campbell (drums). They are supposedly influenced by bands like At The Drive-in, Jimmy Eat World, Silverchair, Weezer, Foo Fighters, Nirvana and Biffy Clyro. Formed from the ashes of SaidMike during May 2009, in the past year they have signed to Xtra Mile Recordings and released their self-produced debut album 'Persistence In This Game' (February 2010). From this album there have been two singles: 'Versus The Allegiance' (November 2009) and 'Runaway Now' (February 2010). They have also toured with a range of bands such as Kids In Glass Houses, Motorhead, The Automatic and InMe. They have also supported Feeder, Tubelord, The Blackout, Young Guns and have supported The Fall Of Troy and Twin Atlantic at SXSW in Austin, Texas. The future looks bright for Straight Lines with more touring and major UK festival appearances in 2010, most notably, Download Festival as well as slots at The Camden Crawl and The Great Escape in Brighton.
