Tachibana Keita

Tachibana Keita (橘慶太, Keita)[Born December 16, 1985) is the lead singer of the three piece dance/r&b group named w-inds., he is also a solo artist singing pop/rock tunes written by himself, calling his solo career an outlet for the world to hear his poetry. He begun a solo project in October of 2006 debuting with the single Michishirube, which opened at no. 2 on the Oricon charts the week of it's release, which has caused quite a storm in the music industry in Japan as his own artist writing all of his own music and proving that he is simply not a pretty face that can pop and lock and sing great pop tunes. This single also portrayed a growth in his abilities as a musician as he does not dance in the music videos and is scene with a complete band set playing an accoustic guitar. The pitch of all his songs are also signifigantly lower than his works with w-inds. in which he is known for his high octave singing voice. As a solo artist, he shows much promise and many wait anxiously to see what has next.
