Having a vocal range that could match some of the all time greats, listening her songs could take you on a musical journey. She has the ability to put her true emotions and tell a great story using her music. Being mainly a Pop/RnB artist Tania K. is very versatile. She is able to showcase her talents by also singing classical, Gospel and soul. EARLY LIFE.. Early on December 28th 1982 Hazel Kay gave birth to Lisa Anne Kay and her twin Tania Elizabeth Kay. Both Lisa and Tania were born eight weeks early and sadly both with holes in there hearts Lisa's had thankfully healed, but Tania's did not, which sadly ended with Tania passing away after just four months into her short life. When Lisa decided to become a serious singer she decided to use her beloved twin sisters name as her stage name as a way of keeping her sister with her.Lisa is the oldest of 5 children. It wasn't always easy growing up, her father left when she was just a baby. Lisa's mother then married her step father when Lisa was just one years old but the relationship didn't work out. Because of the difficulties between her mother and stepfather. Her mother and stepfather divorced leaving Lisa's mother to raise Lisa and her siblings alone... BIGGEST INFLUENCE'S Lisa always knew she wanted to be a singer. Even as young as five years old she would sing along to her mothers favorite singers, most of which was a lot of rnb and soul music. She listened to everything from Etta James to Boys to Men. She would ask her mother Hazel to leave the music playing before she went to sleep and then she would shut her eyes and dream as if it were her singing up on a big stage in front of thousands of screaming fans. At a very young age, she could be heard singing to Etta James "At Last" this became a favorite of her's to sing live in her later year's. Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston was two of Lisa's biggest influences. Some of her favorite songs to sing was Whitney Houstons "I have nothing" and "Saving all my love" these songs won Lisa a lot of prizes in talent contests during her teen years. She also has been influenced by Celine Dion who is one of her all time favorite vocalists. .. TEENAGE YEARS By The time Lisa became a teenager her voice gained amazing range and depth. This helped her to take on many competitions around the U.K. At most competitions Lisa would take 1st place singing the song "Hero" by Mariah Carey. She had a taste of the spotlight, and she wanted more. She wanted to be on the big stages now, but most importantly she wanted to make music for all to enjoy and relate to. "Lisa Kay" aka Tania K. simply wanted to be remembered one day as one of the greats. .. And At that very moment Tania K. was born.!!!.. With her new found drive, she quickly began to cover versions of classic songs and put them up on numerous websites worldwide. The buzz was nonstop, but with that came some negativity. Tania kept at it, going to the studio, pushing herself and her voice until she was impressed with her the final product. What would come from this relentless dedication and determination is a promotional album that would showcase her range and diversity. She touched a number of genres, classics like "At Last" and contemporary songs like "You Raise Me Up." She also showed off her operatic side recording songs such as"Carrickfergus." .. After all this pushing and hard work Tania started getting attention from record labels mainly which were based within the USA. One of them was based in New York and the other was based in Florida. Both were indie labels, however Tania decided to go with the offer she recieved from the Florida based label. Although she was now a part of a Label it eventually didn't work out because of obligations that weren't being upheld by her label and negligence to her as an artist. She was very dissappointed to say at the least. .. LxR RECORDS & Tania K She eventually left her old label and start posting songs on the internet again. Tania uploaded all of her cover songs she had recorded and one of them was Etta James "At Last." This is when Mista Rogers first came into to Tania's life and what a blessing it was. He had heard her version of "At Last" and had left a comment saying how much he enjoyed it and that they should work on a song together. Eventually they began to converse and decided to share a myspace page and call this L&R Entertainment. To both of their amazement the page reached an incredible amount of plays and views within just the first six months of being active. Shortly after that Tania had written "I Could Cry" this was a beautiful Pop/RnB ballad. Tania had entered this into a song writing contest called "The U.K Song Writing Contest." Simon Cowell had served as one of the judges on it before.Tania became semi finalist and came 5th place with her song. Thats when Mista Rogers and Tania decided she should write more of her own songs instead of recording covers. .. She began to write her own material and eventually added songwriter to her credit. After four years to date Tania has written some amazing songs one of these which is now released and on Itunes and all major online stores the song is called "Wouldn't it be nice" which is a inspirational uplifting song about hope. .. WHEN DREAMS BECOME REALITY Tania K. is definitely living her dream. She is now the half owner and co-ceo of the online music label LxR Records. This is a dream come true for Tania to be her own boss and release music on her own terms nothing that she would have believed to be possible. In the future Tania wants to give back and help less fortunate children and volunteer her time with charities. Tania's plans are for she and Mista Rogers to take this music business by storm. With her passion of music and life in general only the sky is the limit. After all, with her mother Hazel being a singer/songwriter and many of her other musically talented family members she should'nt have any problem achieving this. After all, it is in her genes!!!.
