Terri Hendrix

Terri Hendrix (1968- ) is a singer/songwriter from Texas. Since 1996, she has released nine albums on her own label, Wilory Records, named after the farm where she worked while playing open-mike nights and local bar gigs in and around San Marcos, Texas. Her business partner in running her label is the legendary Texas musician/producer Lloyd Maines, who also serves as Terri's producer and multi-instrumentalist. Her music is quite eclectic, and stylistically exhibits strains of folk, blues, rock, and country. According to her web site, her influences include "Ella Fitzgerald, Anita O'Day, David Bromberg, Joe Ely, Terry Allen, Kris Kristofferson and the Indigo Girls." She was also heavily influenced by her friend and mentor Marion Williamson, who produced Terri's earliest demo tapes and owned the farm where Terri worked in the early nineties. Terri's lastest album, The Spiritual Kind, was released in 2007.
