The Apathy Eulogy

The Apathy Eulogy was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 2005. Then, it was Rob Kelly (guitar, vocals) and Brian Curlee (cajon). They recorded a Demo CD with two songs, "Be My Rescue" and "Daphne Doesn't Love Derby, She Hates Men." Then, Ben Brown joined the band. In 2006, The Apathy Eulogy released their first album, Things Hoped For, Things Unseen. "Our main goal was to try to take a snapshot of what it would be like for us to play a live show," Rob said, "So much of what we do centers around that Friday night hanging out, whatever it might be. We wanted that unproduced, raw sound." In August 2006, Ben Brown left the band and John Cotter (formerly of Vienna), Josh Niles (formerly of Avelyn with Rob Kelly), and Mitch Ryan joined the band. In April 2007, The Apathy Eulogy released their second album, Beauty for Ashes. In September 2007, however, John Cotter left the band. Although John left the band, The Apathy Eulogy and John are friends. They recorded their third album, Introduction: Walk North When The Winter Hits, at John's studio, Four Horse Shoes Studio. Introduction: Walk North When The Winter Hits was released on February 23, 2008. It was the first of a series of 3 that they will release this year. Journey: The Road is Made of More Than Asphalt was released on July 29th, 2008 and is available in digital format exclusively. A brand new, 15 song full length album will be released in January, 2009. The band has begun posting videos and news updates with information on the album.
