The Kingsmen Biography
At the time they recorded Louie Louie in Portland (at NorthWestern Studios) the Kingsmen were recent graduates from David Douglas High near Portland, Oregon. Today, The Kingsmen survive with their original lead guitar player, Mike Mitchell. Jack Ely sang Louie Louie. Lynn Easton played the drums. Don Galluci from Franklin HS played the Honer electric piano.
