The Kung Fu Girls Biography
The Kung Fu Girls are an influential Pop Rock band based out of Long Island, New York. The Kung Fu Girls are Mia Koo (lead vocals and guitar), 18, and Ava Koo (vocals, lead guitar, and keys), 19. The sisters have toured and played all over the country, from The Viper Room (California) to The Knitting Factory (NYC) and these girls mean business. They have been on the front page of purevolume 5 times, getting more plays than Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, Hello Goodbye, Underoath, and many other bands on purevolume. They released their album "Thinking Of You" on Shining Star Records in the fall of 2006, showing all the critics what it really means to be a Kung Fu Girl. http://myspace.com/thekungfugirls Kung Fu Girls (Norwegian band) Kung Fu Girls released two albums, ‘This Is the Kung Fu Beat” (1993) and ‘Puzzle’ (1995). The band emerged from the same scene that has given us successful acts like Gluecifer and Turbonegro, and also faves like Astroburger and Anal Babes. Kung Fu Girls were inspired by fuzz pop and punk rock, and also made sure to add a dash of surf. In other words, this sweet as sugar for anyone hooked on acts like Buzzcocks, Blondie, or Lemonheads.
