The Pistolas Biography
Young, Pro-active and classically British, The Pistolas bring to the table disparate influences which when fused together manifest themselves as tight, feisty, rock & roll with no little amount of style that has already brought them acclaim whilst still unsigned. The NME says "...The Pistolas have come up with the frankly mental idea of sounding like Hot Hot Heat playing Clash covers in a creche. A guitar slashes its chest, a bass frots itself into a froth, while some infants yelp backing vocals. Sticky-floored, crayon-fingered genius..." Stepping out with an awesome live show and drawing on inspiration from amongst others My Bloody Valentine, The Specials and The Ramones; The Pistolas command your attention. On 26/3/08 Pistolas added a paragraph to their myspace announcing their split: "Hello friends. After four years of making music together we The Pistolas have decided that our journey as a band has come to an end. It has been a blast without a doubt. We’d like to sincerely thank everyone that has to come to our shows, buy and listen to our music. We have appreciated all your support. Thank you. We will be embarking on new projects very soon. ‘She’s been a good vessel, she’s been a beast’ The Pistolas (26/03/08) "
