The Sandy West Band

After the break up of The Runaways, Sandy West began working in construction while leading the Sandy West Band, which never achieved success. She appeared unable to escape the shadow of The Runaways and performed occasionally with Cherie Currie. Various members through the years of the The Sandy West Band were: Sandy West: drums, vocals, rhythm guitar, producer & songwriter Gregg Michaels: lead guitar & backing vocals, producer & songwriter Paul Hone: guitar & backing vocals Jerry Venneman: drums Steve Julian: lead guitar Jessica Harrington: lead & backing vocals, guitar Lee Lawson: Bass, backing vocals In 2005, Sandy was diagnosed with lung cancer, which later progressed to a brain tumor, and she died on October 21, 2006 at the age of 47.
