USER is an international recording artist who cut his teeth in the techno-industrial period of the 1990s and continues to release music mixed with a creative Indie Spirit. In Canada, the legal decision by the CIPO( the canadian intelectuall property office) based in Gatineau Quebec, has denied the Montreal act [ the User] a trademark in sound recordings and live musical performance with that name as it was confusingly similar to the Canadian recording artist USER. Their application for a trademark in sound recordings and live performances was unsuccesful and had to be amended.
