World On Edge

A Canadian soft rock/pop group, World On Edge comprised of: Rob Meyer, lead vocals; Steph Thompson, bass and vocals; Peter Hopkins, acoustic and electric guitar and vocals; and on guitar, vocals and keyboard, Jon Daniels with Canadian Producer Mike Jones and German co-producer Christian Schudde. Rob, Steph and Christian being the main songwriters, released Standing Push and Fall as a single in 1990 and then their self-titled debut album World on Edge 1991, which garnered seven hit singles. They opened for Roxette on the Canadian leg of that group's 1992 Tour. Despite this, receiving a Juno Award nomination for Most Promising New Group in 1992, the 1993 follow-up album Against All Gods 1993 did not do well and the band broke up.
