Worth The Fight Biography
At least 2 bands have used the name Worth The Fight: A) A Portuguese straightedge hardcore band à la SSD and Minor Threat. and B) Bands around the Alabama area that have elected to play aggressive genres of music all have the same trouble of getting up and out, as have many bands all over the world. But to achieve victory in this day of age, you need to have conviction, talent, and strong belief, factors that has lead Birmingham, Alabama based band, Worth the Fight to their current point. The band has spent the last year on a journey, and it's the experience of being on the road that has helped establish them with the ethics of DIY and internet sites, word of mouth, ect. After relentless shows and musical growth, the band has found balance with "OHIO" recorded in CHINS music studio and released in early March of 2010. Since the bands original formation in 2008 Worth the Fight – Ricky (vocals), Brandon (guitar/vocals), aaron (guitar), Royce (drums) and newcomer Sean (bass) all continue to build a strong following with every show given to them. The band remains unsigned till an offer justifies itself. The band has released one full length album in October of 2009 titled "Conflict" with the help of Jud White of First Chair Records. With the Cd's release came extensive shows until it was felt time to release their Newest demo "OHIO" in March of 2010. Showing the growth sonically from the first full length. Conflict highlighted the band's metalcore side establishing them as a band not to be over looked in the upcoming year.
