Yida Huang Biography
Huang Yida ( Chinese: 黄义达; Huang Yi Da, Born August 11, 1980) is a Singaporean singer and songwriter. He has released 3 major albums on Sony Taiwan. His song "Chou Nan Ren" (Jerk) was the opening theme for the Taiwanese drama, Devil Beside You. Another song of his, "Set Me Free", was the theme song for the Chinese version of the movie Stealth. He graduated from the Lee Wei Song School of Music. In 2006, Yida went through a rough depression, in which he often thought of suicide. He was put on anti-depressants, but soon made himself stop taking them, due to the fact that they made him completely uncaring. His song "Wan Zheng Yan Chu" (The Great Finale) from his third album, The Great Finale, was written in the peak of this depression. Yida has since stated he is still working through many hardships, but slowly feels himself getting better and is already working on his 4th album.
