Agnes Monica

Agnes Monica was born on July 6th, 1986 in Indonesia. She started her career as a child artist at the early age of 6. Her album as a child was not a big hit, and ofcourse she wasn't sure yet which way her career was heading. Acting, dancing and singing. She liked all 3 and it took a while to find the right direction, and find a way to combine all of these talents. "Lupus Milenia" was the first television series in which Agnes appeared at the age of 12, but again not a real big hit. That happened when she joined the cast of the next series "Pernikahan Dini" in 2001, which won many awards in Indonesia. In 2003 she released her album "the Story Goes" which became an instant hit with 3 songs hitting the charts :"Bilang Saja", "Cinta Mati" and "Jera". Her next album was even a bigger hit. "Whaddup A" sold over 50.000 copies in just 3 days. Agnes conciders her education with as much motivation as her career, and has taken her career so serious that she decided not to find a partner for the moment, knowing that she would have not enough time to put into a serious relationship. In 2006 she surprised Indonesia with the most expensive video ever made by an Indonesian artist, but it showed that she was as professional as international standards requiered, and it seems she is ready for the international stage. She has anounced that in 2007 and 2008 she will be touring outside Indonesia, even in Europe and the USA. Will the world be ready for Agnes?!
