When Bohemia was about 12 years old, he moved to [[California]], [[United States]] along with his family as a young teen and started learning how to play harmonium at a very young age from his grandfather. When Raja was only 14 his family immigrated from Pakistan to "Tobay" area. While growing up in the rough streets of Oakland, CA, Raja used rapping as an outlet to escape from his thug life style.
