Boom Boom Satellites Biography
BOOM BOOM SATELLITES (ブンブンサテライツ) are a electronic music duo from Japan formed in 1995. The band consists of Michiyuki Kawashima and Masayuki Nakano. While their music can be mostly coined as big beat or nu skool breaks they are heavily influenced by jazz. In 2004 they contributed numerous songs to the soundtrack of anime movie Appleseed and also in 2007 to anime Vexille. In 2008 Boom Boom Satellites' track "Shut Up And Explode from Exposed became opening theme for anime series Xam'd: Lost Memories (亡念のザムド, Bōnen no Zamudo) which released on PlayStation Network. In 2009 BACK ON MY FEET form of the same title EP released in July 2009 were contributed as the Xam'd: Lost Memories’ opening theme for the television broadcast of the series. To date Boom Boom Satellites have released six albums with Exposed in 2007 as their most recent release. Their seventh full lengh studio album To The Loveless is set to be released on May 26, 2010. On 27 January 2010 Boom Boom Satellites released their greatest hits album 19972007, a two-disc album which contents tracks released between 1997 and 2007.
