Candy Coated Chaos Biography
Candy Coated Chaos was an independent pop group from New Jersey, active from 2003 till 2009. The trio included Rochella Danishei, Brittany "Pasquelina" and Stephanie Ugaro. The group featured production primarily by Jeff "Jadion" Wells (Simon Curtis), and their singles "Masquerade", "Utopia" and "Take Me Home Tonight" saw modest success on independent and dance radio stations around the world. Several of their songs were licensed for use by MTV, and were featured in episodes of "The Hills", "The City" and "Jersey Shore". In 2009, the group decided to disband. As of 2010, Rochella Danishei and Pasquelina are currently pursuing solo careers, and Stephanie Ugaro is pursuing modeling. Every ten years, a pop group comes along that takes the world by storm. The late 70's were the Bee Gees, the late 80's were New Kids on the Block, the late 90's were Britney Spears, Nsync and Backstreet Boys. In the late 00's the pop group that has everyone talking is Candy Coated Chaos. With a look that is nothing short of supermodel caliber, unlimited marketing potential, and a sound that has earned them legions of fans on the internet, this 17 year old pop girl group has every intention on creating an entertainment empire. In 2003, three longtime friends from a suburban New Jersey town near NYC realized that their shared talents and love for the stage was much more than a hobby. It was their calling. At 12 years old, the three friends, Rochella, Brittany, and Stephanie, formed the group that would come to be known as Candy Coated Chaos. One year later the girls would record their first demo. They began to perform at county fairs, birthday parties, open mic talent shows, basically anywhere they could to hone their skills. They began to get a small but loyal following on Myspace. In 2006, they were introduced by their temporary manager to Los Angeles based pop producer Jeff "Jadion" Wells. After sharing some emails Jadion flew to NYC and met the girls and their families. There was instant chemistry between them. In early 2007, they began to record. The first single was a remake of Eddie Money's 1986 hit single, "Take Me Home Tonight". The song was already getting much attention from indie labels before the second song was even recorded. The song was popular in the club circuit and was played throughout the world on independent radio stations, internet radio, as well as major US radio stations WKTU in New York, and San Francisco's Energy 92.7. There were fans emailing from Mexico to Greece to Italy to China expressing their love for "CCC". Over the course of 2007 they continued the recording of other songs, including songs written by Rochella and Brittany of CCC, as well as producer Jadion and Simon Curtis (star of Nickelodeon's 2009 hit TV movie, Spectacular!) With the limited resources and low budgeted nature of the project, the girls brought their all around talents out in writing and choreographing their own songs. The underground success of "Take Me Home Tonight" enabled the group to be booked around the country. They performed shows in New Jersey, New York state, New York City, Los Angeles, Connecticut, and Chicago. On Veterans Day, November 2007, Candy Coated Chaos performed at a Support The Troops XFC mixed martial arts event in Tampa, FL at the Saint Pete's Forum in front of 15,000 people. The event which CCC donated their performance to, raised thousands of dollars for families of our troops. The CCC fan base on Myspace is nearing 350,000, with nearly 15 million plays and 6 million profile views. (This includes an account deleted by hackers in May) In late 2008 Candy Coated Chaos was matched up with new management that is now pushing them in an upward direction, fast. Simultaneously the group's music was licensed with MTV and played in "The Hills" and "The City." Right After The New Year, 4 new songs were recorded that had completed their album, and since the start of January 2009 the girls have been training intensively with top Choreographer Jermaine Browne for their much anticipated debut in the months to come. So keep a look out as Candy Coated Chaos is ready to show the music world that they are a force to be reckoned with.
