Dark Iris

Dark Iris is an alternative band from Wasilla, Alaska. The band's current line-up consists of frontman Larry Hansen, guitarist James Shuey, bassist Judah Morse and drummer Slayter Shuart. The line-up has remained the same throughout the band's existence with the exception of parting ways with former guitarist Jeremy Brannon. The band's style is characterized by melodic/aggressive dynamics in their music, accented guitar chords, fast drumming, hyper bass lines and clean vocal/scream transitioning. Dark Iris is influenced by a variety of different bands including Killswitch Engage, Hawthorne Heights, Silversun Pickups, 36 Crazyfists, Coheed and Cambria, Veil of Maya, Bullet for my Valentine and Faith No More. Dark Iris has built their trademark sound by fusing a variety of different music genres such as alternative rock, pop punk, post-hardcore, emo, shoegaze, death metal, acoustic and metalcore together to make a style that is their own and to separate themselves from other alternative metal bands. Dark Iris will release their debut album, 'Victims of Circumstance' this summer!
