Giselle

19-year-old multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter, Giselle Rosselli, was born and raised in Sydney but is currently living and studying in Melbourne. Brought up into a creative household of artists and architects, Giselle began her obsession with writing music and wordplay from an early age as a way of finding creative independence from her family. As both a songwriter and producer her style has adapted into a contemporary hybrid of electronica and folk, her incorporation of world instruments and looped effects bringing together a wide range of sounds. Recent attention has brought her acclaim from a range of unexpected corners of the globe such as from American celebrity gossip figure Perez Hilton, Belgium based DJs, Aeroplane, French trio, Yelle and the UK series 'Skins'. On top of releasing her debut ep expected for the end of 2010, Giselle is collaborating with artists such as Vorad Fils, Flight Facilities, Seekae and Bagraiders on projects being released at scattered intervals throughout the year. Above all attention, it is Giselle's distinct sound, intricate vocals and unconventional lyrics that put her at the forefront of this new generation of music.
