Gothic Archies

The Gothic Archies are yet another Stephin Merritt (mostly known for The Magnetic Fields) project. The band consists solely of Stephin Merritt and its output so far consists of the 1997 album "The New Despair" and 2006's "The Tragic Treasury," a collection of songs written for the audio book versions of Lemony Snicket's "A Series of Unfortunate Events." According to their official website, "What makes this band different from The Magnetic Fields is that any glimmer of hope is absolutely extinguished."
