Haiducii Biography
About Haiducii is the stage name of Paula Mitrache (b. June 14, 1977) She was born in Bucharest, Romania. After winning the title of Miss Bucharest, she became a singer, model, and actress. Haiducii sings in Romanian, in English and in Russian. She participated as the international host of the Festival di Sanremo 2004, and of "Stasera pago io revolution" of Fiorello. Currently living and releasing in Bari (Italy). Music Carreer: er debut record was "Dragostea din tei" (by the Moldovan band O-Zone) released in January 2004, which made a strong dance impact, jumping immediately to the top of sales and airplay in Italy and the world. The single remained in the Top Spot beyond 10 weeks, reaching Gold in the first two weeks of release and later Platinum. Dragostea din tei has been published in Germany, Austria, Benelux, Switzerland, France, Spain, Mexico, Czech Republic, and counts beyond 1 million copies sold in all Europe. Haiducii released her second single, Mne S Toboy Horosho (Nara Nara Na Na) ('I Feel Good When I'm With You' in Russian) in Italy in July 2004 and reached #5 in the official Italian Charts, being another hit. Her third single, 'I Need A Boyfriend', was released in early 2005 reaching the Top 20. After some months from her latest release, she comes with a new single: "More 'N' More (I Love You)" in December 2005. "More 'N' More (I Love You)" is doing great in Italy many weeks after its release, being at the top of airplay and still selling well, remaining Top 20, three months after its release. The music video premiered early in March 2006 and features Haiducii with five male dancers and special effects. Her debut album is going to be released this year (2006) according to Haiducii herself.
