Joey & Rory Biography
Joey & Rory are an American country music duo founded by husband and wife Joey Martin Feek and Rory Lee Feek. They were the third finalists on CMT's series, Can You Duet in 2008. Shortly after the competition, they were signed to the independent labels Vanguard and Sugar Hill Records. Their debut single, "Cheater, Cheater" was originally recorded by the duo Bomshel, whose own version failed to chart earlier in 2008. Joey and Rory's version of the song was released in August 2008, featuring a music video that has a cameo from Naomi Judd. The song received a "thumbs up" review from Matt C. of The 9513, who called it a "delightfully acoustic barn-burner". The song will be included on Joey & Rory's forthcoming debut album, The Life of a Song, which will be released on October 28. Joey, who was signed to Giantslayer Records, recorded a solo album Strong Enough to Cry in 2005, but failed to release the album to the public or any singles from it. In 2007, her album was released for digital download.[4] Rory also recorded a solo album on Giantslayer Records, titled My Ol' Man, for digital download.
