Lifestone

Lifestone is a post-electronica/experimental project created by Matt Turner. Matt is the sole writer, mixer, and performer for the project. The EP "Displacement" is Lifestone's first release. It is primarily influenced by powerful emotions such as hope, nostalgia, grief, and liberation. It is a precursor to the debut album, which will expand on these emotions and attempt a more narrative approach to musical storytelling. Matt uses the Roland Juno-Di Synthesiser for all of his current work. Lifestone's influences include Caspian, Explosions in the Sky, Rush, God Is An Astronaut, Mono, Tangerine Dream, Marillion, Billy Corgan's solo work, Frost*, Peter Gabriel, Kevin Moore, Nihilore, Hans Zimmer, Jordan Rudess, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, and Mew.
