Lindsay D'arcy is an English singer/songwriter; plays live concerts very rarely, prefers small, intimate, venues. He has played with Nik Turner (Hawkwind), Slade The Leveller, NMA, The Levellers and others; had live sessions on BBC Radio amongst others. He signed with Sheffield's Action records in the 90's, but then left to Fon's Liquid Bubble Records - the Durango 95 band broke up under the pressure of tours and commitments leaving Lindsay alone. His songs are like a scrap book of emotions; notes on the human psyche.. often subjective, dark, sublime, literate and thought provoking. There is an anti-folk sense to the sound; uncomplicated,un clichéed, rather like a tuneful Cohen or less morose Damien Rice - Lindsay, remains a songwriter who does not enjoy the recording process and simply records at home. He is in eastern europe these days where you can, if you are very lucky, catch a live performance - Budapest, Hungary at the time of writing.... not quite :) Poland now ..
