"2002 came with a different feeling, all I wanted was to have my own composition out. God listened to my prayers and out of the blue, I met Finnish producer Miikka Kari and made him listen to what I had composed. Luckily enough he appreciated my piece of work and recorded me. My dream came true when we released my first song to radio stations and it made an impact". 'Wanadamu' paved the way for a successful career. Mad Ice´s debut album, 'Baby Gal', was released in 2003 and the title song became one of the biggest hits ever in East Africa region. His self-produced hit single, 'Wange', started co-operation with co-producer Teemu Rimpinen and the team in Firelight Studios in Finland. 'Wange' continued in the victorious footsteps of 'Baby Gal' and conquered the charts all over East Africa, reaching Number 1 in various radio- and video charts in Tanzania and Uganda. 2007 saw the release of the Afro groove single 'Malaika' – a tribute to the old school of African music.
