MayBee

There's several bands named Maybee. 1. MAYBEE - who started their premium punkrock from the Rotterdam area in the late 2002, evolved from a funlovin' powerpunkthreesome to a well-oiled operating five piece collective which brings you a dense punkrocksound combined with melodic soundscapes. Inspired by both fast skatepunk from yesteryears as well as the more fragile "emo"sound of today's music, it creates a solid but diverse combination of song structures which is best experienced live on stage. A stage they have shared with Dutch top bands such as Undeclinable, I against I and Cooper as well as international bands like The Explosion (USA), Chixdiggit (CAN), Straight Away (FR) and Vanilla Sky (IT). 2.MayBee equals Suski and Emmi, two young Finnish ladies. They have a long history together and they've been doing not only music but also theatre with each other. Especially musicals are close to their hearts, naturally. The band behind MayBee includes Ari Toikka (drums), Erik Valkama (guitar) and Ville Mäkinen (bass). Ressu Redford has composed the songs and girls theirselves take care of the lyrics. 3. MayBee is also a Korean lyricist, famous for writing some of Hyori's songs, such as Get Ya, 10 Minutes, and Shall We Dance? It isn't until 2006 does she release her own album, entitled "A Letter From Abell 1689." Her songs are mostly ballads.
